As Senior Data Engineer, you will be driving the development of successful serviceable data marts that capture, store, and expose event data and history for analytics purposes within an area of our Fulfilment, or Inventory & Logistics Operations domain. You will have the possibility to share your knowledge with your colleagues and mentor junior team members to foster their professional and personal growth within the organization.

You will work hands-on to build data pipelines in our data mesh on Google Cloud Platform, to maintain and improve the infrastructure of existing digital products, and to find solutions to questions like:

  • How do we design, build, test and maintain data products and cloud-based services to promote data consumption?

  • How should we extract, merge, transform and serve data to enable usage at a global scale?

  • How can we implement data models, schemas and pipelines to satisfy user needs and non-functional requirements?

  • What should we add to our evolving software library of custom-built large-scale data processing tools to empower our Data Analysts and Scientists?

  • How can we ensure the reliability and quality of the data, and how do we educate team members in cross-functional teams about the importance of it?

  • What is the business value of the data we are delivering?

And perhaps you have your own ideas on problems to solve? We are on a journey towards becoming a data-driven company and you will have the opportunity to help shape our path, based on your knowledge and experience.
