Job Overview:

Reporting to the Director of Planning and Analysis, this role is a critical finance position within the Finance Team at 123Dentist. You will be responsible for providing full financial planning and analysis support for each practice unit, as well as to the corporate team.

Your solid finance & accounting experience and superb excel skills will be critical for you to bring insights into planning, forecasting and business decision support. You enjoy working in a national organization and can collaborate and develop relationships with diverse external and internal stakeholders, including exposure to Senior Members of the Management Team. A strong communicator and natural business partner, the successful candidate will demonstrate big picture thinking, a strong grasp of the details, and a can-do attitude.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Analysis and reporting

• Provide analytical support for larger and more complicated dental practices and groups
• Provide insightful variance analysis for practice units, including detailed understanding on variances to budget, forecast, and prior year and root causes of practice unit’s financial performance
• Help drive the delivery of detailed KPI’s down to the practice level to help enhance practice profitability
• Identify potential risks and opportunities affecting financial goals and advise on action plans to address gaps
• Analyze non-financial operating performance indicators, assessing trends and variances

Planning and Forecasting

• Support the budgeting and forecasting deliverables for each practice unit, including the preparation of practice unit budget files to be completed by the practices and consolidated at corporate

Other

Other ad hoc analysis, as required (this may include gaining experience working with the acquisitions team)

Education, Credentials, Qualifications:

• CPA designation desirable, but not mandatory

Required Skills & Abilities:

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in financial planning and analysis and supporting practice units
• Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members as well as with various teams across the organization
• Excellent analytical and communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Highly proficient in MS Office, especially Excel with advanced knowledge and experience with formulas, pivot tables, v-look ups and building complex models
• Multi-site experience is desirable
• Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics GP would be beneficial, but must be able to navigate through an ERP system
