What is the opportunity?
As a member of the Human Resources team, you will collaborate with the Manager, Human Resources to support departmental objectives. The successful candidate will be responsible for the coordination and application of various human resources programs, as well as to inform employees on policies and their application.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and administer all HR programs (Educational Assistance, Scholarship, Employee and Family Assistance) validations (work permits and driver’s licenses) and benefits administration
- Act as a primary contact for any inquiries to the general HR inbox and hotline
- Advise and support managers and employees on internal policies and procedures, and Wellness programs
- Generate various HR reports including Seniority Reports and Vacation Entitlement using SAP HR
- Be provincial prime for yearly campaigns including; Employee Giving Campaign, Bell Let’s Talk Week, Benefit Promotion, and Retirement Sessions
- Support Wellness Portfolio and implementation of new programs such as owning Wellness Tool updates, and Wellness scorecard analysis
Critical Qualifications
- Post-secondary education with concentration in human resources management or industrial relations, or equivalent combination of education and practical experience in the field of human resources
- 1-3 years' relevant experience in a similar position
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in using SAP HR (an asset)
- CHRP Certification (an asset)
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and accuracy, as well as excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a team and independently
- Is customer service centric (HR phone lines and emails), and has the ability to work and deal with people at different hierarchical levels, including the union
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, meet tight deadlines, multi-task in a context of ongoing change, prioritize tasks while staying organized
- Discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Bilingual (French and English) is an asset
