ADGA Group Consultants Inc. is looking for a Senior Network Architect to support and maintain the Land C4ISR System-of- Systems which enables the effective command and control and situational awareness for Canadian Army commanders and staff.
Job Tasks
- Develop technical architectures, frameworks and strategies to meet network requirements;
- Analyze, design and implement network architectures;
- Design, develop and assess technical solutions to address complex network issues;
- Analyze and evaluate alternative technology solutions to meet lc4isr network problems;
- Ensure the integration of all aspects of network solutions;
- Recommend options for resolving network design issues;
- Define and document interfaces within network, to external systems and between new and existing systems;
- Produce and manage network architectural designs and guidance, with contributions from across all engineering and support disciplines, to achieve comprehensive network implementation
- University Degree STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) in network, software, computer, systems, electrical, or a suitable engineering or technical field required to support Land C4ISR.
- Minimum 10 years of demonstrated experience in a minimum of 1 of the areas below:
- Analyzing, designing, and implementing network system architectures
- Communications engineering and network systems security (Hardware, software, and network), including cryptographic key, devices, hardware, firmware or software that embodies or describes cryptographic logic.
- Network Engineering for Real-Time systems, Distributed Systems, embedded systems, or mission critical systems environments.
- Network System Integration: hardware and software, (COTS and/or custom developed) components into new or existing systems.
- Network architecture directly related to implementation practices such as layer 2 nomenclature, routing protocol selection, security protocols, and deployment models in a high security environment.
- Analyzing, designing, integrating, testing, and implementing communications network.
- Life-cycle management of network systems; and
- Employing a computer modelling and simulation tool to complete network and/or wireless communications performance studies or protocol development
- Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience as a System Architect on Military Command and Control Communication and Information systems or ISTAR systems.
- Minimum of 4 years of demonstrated experience within the last 6 years in the preparation of technical concept documents, system specifications, and technical proposals in the field of Information Technology / Information management or engineering.
- Minimum 6 years of demonstrated experience in a minimum of 4 of the 5 areas below:
- Communicating network technology frameworks/strategies to management and technical staff.
- Communicating network engineering direction for projects or systems.
- Providing advice, guidance and recommendations on technical issues to support the decision-making of senior management.
- Leading multidisciplinary teams in the development of IT tactical systems, frameworks, or strategies.
- Performing strategic, operational or tactical planning for projects or systems to meet corporate strategy.

- Must currently hold Federal Government Secret Clearance
- Copies of Degrees and Certifications will be required
