Rainy River Mine
Situated in beautiful northwestern Ontario, 65 km northwest of Fort Frances, the Rainy River Mine is an open pit, gold and silver producing, residential mine site.
The Rainy River Mine, located adjacent to the Ontario / Minnesota border is 65 Kilometers northwest of Fort Frances, Ontario and is situated half way between Winnipeg, Manitoba and Thunder Bay, Ontario The area is home to more than 130 species of birds and large populations of moose, black bear and deer. If you enjoy outdoor activities including hunting, fishing, winter sports and lake country then this is an area you will love to live and work in.
About The Role
Position: Mil Maintenance Senior Planner
Schedule: Shift 14/14 – 12 hour days
Position Reports To: Mill Maintenance Superintendent
Key Responsibilities
To oversee maintenance planning and reliability for our processing plant and related assets
Develops, implements, and monitors daily maintenance plans within SAP to ensure parts are being reserved in advance.
Responsible for initial screening of incoming work orders, identification of scope, and analysis of required level of planning.
Responsible to improve the reliability process based on best maintenance practices.
Provide guidance and training on planning & reliability process to maintainers.
Ensures all aspects of safety policies and procedures are incorporated into the plan.
Monitors daily work completion and parts issuing.
Maintains quality and standardization of work orders and provide daily communication within Maintenance Department.
Prepare and communicate weekly & monthly Key Performance Indicators for site equipment and work management to the relevant teams.
Works directly with the Maintenance Superintendent, Reliability Engineer, Maintenance Lead, Shift Supervisors, and PM Leads ensuring constant communication within the division.
Review all PM work packets and technicians time spent on PM’s and PCR plans.
Maintains maintenance and repair records.
Contribute to the budgeting process.
Oversee special projects within the mill department.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Diploma or Red Seal trade qualification in an equivalent field;
5 years’ experience, specifically in a construction or maintenance capacity;
Supervisory experience;
Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Suite;
SAP knowledge and experience;
A focus on people and cultural change;
A holistic view of improvement methodologies;
Effective communication skills;
