SCOPE OF POSITION

The Shipper / Receiver will be responsible for preparing and handling shipments as well as the inventory counts and cycle counts. The successful candidate will work closely with our production team to ensure all shipments and orders are received. They will be supporting the warehouse through stocking shelves and performing housekeeping duties within the work area.

ROLES, RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS

General Responsibilities

• Prioritize daily shipments and coordinate shipments with carriers to ensure on-time delivery to local, national, and international destinations.
• Deal with brokers and carriers to get the shipments passed through customs.
  
• Prepare shipping documentation, package and load product correctly.
• Unload, unpack, verify and receive items against purchase orders.
• Gather, sort and place stock on racks, shelves or in bins
• Participate in regularly scheduled inventory counts and cycle counts.
• Pack and prepare shipments
• Place parts orders and follow up with the manufacturers about deliveries.
• Keeping the bays clean and organized.
• Perform other duties as assigned

SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Education Requirements

• High School Diploma required.
• Driver’s license and clean driving record.

Experience Requirements

• Previous Shipping/Receiving experience preferred.

Technical Skill Requirements

• Previous forklift operation experience/certification is an asset
• Ability to complete packing labels and associated documentation in a legible manner.
