Shovel Lube Technician - Fly in/Fly out Job at Mikisew Group LP
The Opportunity - FLY IN/FLY OUT, CAMP PROVIDED
MFM LP, a Mikisew Group company, is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Shovel Lube Technician to join our operation at Kearl Lake. MFM provides comprehensive Client services in vehicle inspection, light duty vehicle repair and overhead crane services.
Purpose & Key Accountabilities: This is Fly in / Fly out, camp-based, 14/14 shift. This position will provide basic maintenance and servicing of Kearl's Shovel Fleet.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Changing oil and filters as outlined in PM task lists
- Executing and completing detailed inspection reports as provided
- Collecting compartment oil samples for analysis and monitoring
- Cut open oil filters for inspection
- Basic maintenance repairs such as lights, wiper blades, etc.
- Ensure work areas are cleaned
- Spot washing of equipment when required
- Cleaning of equipment cabs if required
- Moving of equipment to prepare for maintenance if required
- Follow worksite safety policies and practices
- Other duties as required
Qualifications
- Experience in maintenance and repair
- Heavy Equipment Technician Pre-App (preferred)
- Grade 12 Diploma
- Common Safety Orientation (CSO)
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License and clean driver's abstract
- Standard First Aid
- Able to carry out written and oral instructions
- Able to lift up to 50lbs
- Able to successfully obtain clearance of a Pre-access Alcohol & Drug Screening test
