Flashee is a slow fashion social shopping app for small/independent brands and young online shoppers. If you have a passion for social media and you are against fast fashion and/or want to be an advocate for sustainable/ethical fashion, then this is the startup for you!

We are currently at a very exciting stage where we have released our app on the App Store with numerous Canadian (and a few US) based brands on board, and our goal over the next 6 months is to increase our brand awareness and get shoppers onto our platform. We are a team of 3 women, and we are looking for a creative social media content creator to be the 4th member of our team where your role and contributions will be crucial to us getting to our next stage of growth.

Some of what you will be doing:

• Assist in the creation of our social media strategy and editorial calendar
• Research on potential post ideas/topics
• Find trending sounds and hashtags
• Regularly create social media content including Instagram stories, carousel posts, reels, and TikToks
• Write engaging and relevant copy for our social media content and captions
• Schedule posts in Meta
• Regularly monitor our analytics and assist in adjusting our social media strategy and calendar based on findings
• Cross post content to Pinterest and Facebook to improve our SEO
• Be in charge of responding to comments and general social media engagement

What we’re looking for:

• Graphic design skills (ideally using Canva)
• 1-2 years experience creating social media content and growing a business/professional account
• Familiarity with Meta Business Suite

Even better if you:

• Have a love for shopping, especially for women’s slow fashion
• Is passionate about social media marketing and is a heavy social media user
• Is data driven and understands the formula behind increasing follower count and engagement
• Have creativity to think outside the box and the curiosity to try new ideas

In order to qualify for this position, you will need to be:

• Full or part-time students enrolled in an accredited Canadian college or university
• Studying any discipline, at any diploma or degree level
• Hold Canadian citizenship, Permanent Residency or refugee status (International students are not eligible)

This is a 4 month internship that is part-time (15-20 hours/week), 100% remote, and compensation is between $20-$25/hour.
