It aims to provide the gold standard of psychotherapuetic services that is grounded in mindfulness as a core component including Mindfulness-based Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and a Dialectical Behaviour Therapy program. We also have the opportunity to participate in training when available for those interested in increasing their Mindfulness, CBT or DBT skills as well as offering Clinical Supervision. RESPONSIBILITIES :

The responsibilities of the Social Worker pertain primarily to clinical work with youth, young adults, couples and families. These duties, include but are not limited to:

  • Delivery of high-quality clinical work grounded in Mindfulness, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)
  • Maintenance of required documentation and paperwork pertaining to clinical sessions and interactions including case notes
  • Adherence to the code of ethics outlined by the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers.
  • Dedicated to Truth & Reconciliation Calls to Action
  • Must commit to providing all modes of DBT if joining the DBT program team

REQUIREMENTS:

Must be willing to provide in-person appointments at the Guelph office and willing to provide telephone and virtual therapy services to individuals, families and groups when needed/requested.

Education and Experience

  • A Master’s degree in Social Work, Counselling or related field (Psychology, counselling psychology, etc).
  • Registration or clinical membership with a relevant professional regulatory body such as the Ontario College of Social Work and Social Service Workers
  • 1 or more years’ of counselling experience, experience working with 2SLGBTQQiAAP+ persons in a counselling setting is an asset
  • Specific training in culturally competent care is an asset

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Advanced counselling skills demonstration for both clinical and sub-clinical issues across adolescent and adult population
  • Knowledge of Mindfulness and a current mindfulness practice (or a willingness to start one)
  • Knowledge of CBT and/or DBT
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite tools, Jane Case Management System, Virtual platforms and webmail
  • Preference for those able to work evenings (the practice is open daily from 11-9pm)
  • Professional liability insurance coverage of $2,000,000 or willingness to obtain

Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 10-15 per week

Salary: $75.00-$87.00 per hour
