Position: Software Developer Co-op/Intern
Duration: 4 months, with the ability to extend to 8 months
Date: May 1st to September 1st, 2023
Location: Flexible (Virtual or Hybrid in Ottawa, Canada)

The team you'll be part of

Cloud and Network Services

As Nokia's growth engine, we create value for communication service providers and enterprise customers by leading the transition to cloud-native software and as-a-service delivery models. Our inclusive team of dreamers, doers and disruptors push the limits from impossible to possible.

Education Recommendations

Currently a candidate for a bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science, Computer Systems Engineering, Software Engineering or related field with an accredited school in Canada.

What you will learn and contribute to

As part of our team, you will:

Work with a small, talented development team on a security product
Develop in Java
Use dev tools like git, Jenkins, Jira, Confluence, VMs, docker, Kubernetes
Working in a CI/CD environment with virtual labs and other cloud environments

What is Nokia looking for from me

You have:

• Excellent programming skills with Java and Java APIs
• Passion for software development and problem solving
• The ability to ask questions and community your ideas and opinions to those around you

It would be nice if you also had:

• Experience using REST APIs
• Experience in telecom, microservices, Docker, JBoss, MariaDB, git, RESTEasy
