Description
We are looking for a talented Sr Manufacturing Engineer to join our #Accelera by Cummins business unit located in Mississauga, ON.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Leads the planning, designing, purchasing, and implementation of changes to the manufacturing equipment and systems while leading and co-leading teams.
- Leads the work for specific projects to create and implement all aspects of a manufacturing processes to ensure safety requirements, manufacturing goals, business goals, and product specifications are met.
- Leads by applying the knowledge or use of manufacturing principles and practices to improve manufacturing equipment and processes.
- Impacts the work by utilizing continuous improvement tools, following the Cummins standards, and leading the development of manufacturing standards and working methods.
- Leads the communications with and influences key external stakeholders, business leaders, and functional members.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Problem Solving - Solves problems using a systematic analysis process by leveraging industry standard methodologies to create problem traceability and protect the customer; determines the assignable cause; implements robust, data-based solutions; identifies the systemic root causes and recommended actions to prevent problem reoccurrence.
- Health and Safety Fundamentals - Champions and models proactive health and safety behaviors by identifying, reporting and participating in actions to improve health and safety in order to build an interdependent culture and contribute to an injury-free workplace.
- Action oriented - Taking on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm.
- Controls Engineering Knowledge - Applies the application of controls hardware and software by specifying, reviewing, and approving company-owned and/or supplier designs for new or upgrades to existing equipment to interface with all levels of manufacturing systems.
Education, Licenses, Certifications
- College, university, or equivalent degree required.
- This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience
- Intermediate level of relevant work experience required in manufacturing
