Sr. Software Development Engineer Job at Ouster

You will be responsible for developing the open source Ouster SDK, with an emphasis on maintaining a clean cross-platform build and the accompanying CI/CD pipeline. An eye for detail is essential. Your customers will be both internal and external, including Ouster's lidar development team, perception team, and the wider open-source community. Strong communication and a desire to learn are required for our entire team! Come build lidar with us!
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain clean, high-performance, robust cross-platform code (our software is used in autonomy, robotics and research projects) distributed as source and as binaries
- Manage cross-platform build system for scaling product
- Prototype, design, and implement in-house tools to support internal engineering teams from embedded software to optics and manufacturing in building lidar sensors
- Set up build servers and CI/CD pipelines as needed
Job Requirements:
- At least 5 years of relevant experience
- Experience writing high-performance C++ and Python
- Expert with cross-platform CMake, build, and packaging
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Linux OS
Bonus points:
