The Unionville College (UC) Summer Camps are designed to provide a variety of unique, fun-filled experiences in a safe environment. Our summer camp starts with plenty of field trips, wild visitors, exciting activities and aims to share precious memories with all our campers; memories we know they will carry with them for a lifetime.

Job Description:

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and experienced French Teacher for our Summer Camp program. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and leading daily French language instruction for campers aged 3-13.

Responsibilities but not limited to:

• Create and implement a fun and engaging curriculum to teach basic French language skills
• Plan and execute daily French lessons for campers
• Provide individual attention and support to campers as needed
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Assess camper progress and provide regular feedback to camp leadership and parents
• Work collaboratively with other camp staff to ensure the success of the overall camp program

Qualifications:

• Fluent in French with strong written and verbal communication skills
• College/University degree in French or related field preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching French to children
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons to a diverse group of learners
• Knowledge of and experience with different teaching methodologies and techniques
• Ability to work collaboratively with others in a fast-paced environment
• First Aid/CPR certification preferred

This is a temporary, seasonal position with an expected start date in June and end date in August. The French Teacher will work Monday through Friday.
