Position Overview:

The role of the Application Software Systems Analyst is to work effectively with the Aerospace IT team, internal clients, the corporate Application Software team, and software vendors to analyze, design/procure, implement, and maintain Application Software solutions to satisfy business requirements, and improve business efficiency & productivity. This position combines analytical skills together with knowledge of various technology platforms.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

• Work closely with internal customers and senior Application Software team members reviewing, analyzing and evaluating current systems and user needs.
• Participate in identifying areas of improvement to existing business processes.
• Participate in identifying options for potential solution, assessing them for both technical and business suitability.
• Interview clients and gather detail requirements.
• Document requirements, define scope, objectives and deliverables.
• Oversee and/or perform wide range of activities through the full development life cycle that include (but are not limited to): process design, system design, software configuration, testing, troubleshooting, user documentation/training and upgrading.
• Build and maintain accurate technical documentation for implementation and modifications of systems.

Position Requirements:

• A relevant undergraduate degree (i.e. Bachelor of Computer Science or Industrial Engineering)
• Strong analytical skills, adaptable and quick learner.
• Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral).
• Strong technical documentation skills
• Prepare documentation including specifications, procedures, work instructions, and training materials to support application changes.
• Experience with Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne ERP Suite or other similar ERP Suite considered an asset.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, MS Power BI, MS Excel, MS Sharepoint preferred.
• Knowledge of Business Process Re-engineering and Project Management methodologies considered an asset
• Training and experience in process improvement techniques such as lean manufacturing, six sigma, and continuous improvement considered an asset
