Trailer Mechanic For Air Brakes & ABS Installation Job at Thruway Specialized Trailers
Our company manufactures Commercial Multi-Axle Flatbed Trailers for the Transportation Industry. We are currently hiring an experienced Trailer mechanic with Training, education and a minimum of 5 years field experience in installing Air Brake Systems in newly built trailers. Must have experience working with four, five and six axle trailers. Experience in installing trailer lights and wiring harnesses in the trailers is also an essential part of the job. The candidate should have the ability to read blueprints.
Main duties & responsibilities includes:
- Complete Electrical, air brake system & plumbing on semi-trailers
- Facilitate Safety inspections on trailers
- Preventative maintenance on brakes, electrical & air systems
- Recognize and report faults or malfunctions in the parts
- Test equipment and systems for performance
- Ensure that the trailers meet Transportation Canada Road Safety Rules and Regulations.
Other duties will include keeping adequate stock levels of all parts in the department, working with the management on minimum inventory levels.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $30.00-$32.00 per hour
