Transload Facility Laborer/Railcar-Mover Operator Job at Transand Inc
Transand Inc. is currently looking to expand our work force. We are in need of labourers and equipment operators for our transload facility in Fort St. John.
Some of the required duties include:
- Daily equipment inspections
- Monitoring conveyance systems
- Helping with maintenance on Conveyance systems
- Operating/Maintaining a skid steer loader
- Operating/Maintaining a wheeled loader
- Helping with unloading and switching of railcars on site
- Operating Shuttle Wagon rail car mover
- Shoveling and cleaning up sand on site
Assets would include:
- Possessing valid drivers license
- Fall arrest, skid steer loader, wheeled loader safety tickets
- Ability to operate a skid steer or wheeled loader
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs
- Mechanically inclined
- Ability to climb to and work at heights of 150’
- Ability to work shift work including night shift
Our local staff work a shift of 10 days on and 5 days off, however we do vary the schedule at times depending on current work. We offer competitive wages starting at $28.50/hr increasing incrementally every year, and a benefits package after a 3-month probation period. We generally work between 8-12 hours a day on either day or night shift.
