This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, dynamic individual who has an interest in UX design, technology, solving

Under the general direction of the Manager, Customer Data Analytics & Research, the UX Architect will have a critical role in driving
the success of the Customer Experience. This role will be a subject matter expert in human centered UX design, user research, and
plays a pivotal role in the design and development of efficient and intuitive customer experiences. The UX Architect will develop
business strategies and provide critical advice to internal teams to ensure all customer touch points across digital and analog
channels deliver customer-centric experiences for every customer. This role will impact all aspects of the customer experience; from
service design, content/information architecture, and UI and UX of digital experiences.
Of note: This role is not a UX Engineering (IT) role that involves advanced programming or coding skills to develop a new digital
product (e.g. a functioning website or digital applications).
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for designing products and services that consider the full and complex range of users' cross-channel touchpoints,
- Lead projects that require collaboration across multiple teams (such as Marketing, Communications, Customer Experience,
value to our customer.
- Set and lead the enterprise UX design and research strategy to ensure UX best practices are embedded in our ways of
- Conduct user testing (such as usability testing or interviews) to better understand customer needs, pain points, and
- Connect user needs and designs to business objectives to ensure that recommendations drive both the business and the
- Demonstrate and support innovation and creativity in resolving customer and stakeholder issues by implementing new
- Facilitate design-thinking workshops with employees across all business groups and levels of the organization to identify
- Complete hands-on information architecture design and analysis such as creating site maps and conducting tree testing and
- Design content for communication and product designs that are user-friendly and on brand, ensuring an excellent customer
- Create relevant artifacts, such as personas, journey maps and service blueprints to capture the ideal or current state of
- Ensure the adoption of new industry trends to enable Manitoba Hydro to deliver excellent customer experience. Understand

Qualifications:
- Completion of a four-year university Degree in a related discipline from an institute of recognized standing, plus four years of
field.
OR
- Completion of a two-year Diploma in a related discipline from an institute of recognized standing, plus six years of directly
- Expert knowledge of human-centered design methodologies and practices.
- Understanding of front-end development (HTML, CSS) and comfortable talking to developers about the details of design
- Understand accessibility criteria and design according to best practice.
- Proficiency with prototyping tools such as Axure, Sketch, Adobe XD, Figma.
- Experience with research and usability testing tools such as UserTesting.com, Userlytics.com, OptimalSort and Treejack.
- Ability to design across devices (desktop & mobile) and across systems (browser-based websites to native apps for mobile).
- Experience with any service design would be a significant asset.
- Exceptionally customer-focused and oriented, with outstanding relationship-building skills.
- A proven ability to comfortably and effectively build and maintain a broad range of relationships at a variety of levels, both
- Strong communication (written, oral, presentation) skills and a high level of comfort, credibility, and confidence explaining user
- Proven business acumen, and adept at thinking and communicating in a commercial context to produce key strategic and
actionable insights for process owners and management to understand the current state and opportunities to improve the
customer and user experience.
Salary Range
Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The range for the classification is $40.04-$55.25 Hourly,
$76,728.86-$105,875.12 Annually.
