A career in Deals Valuation, will provide you with the opportunity to help organisations unlock greater value from existing assets and ongoing capital expenditures as well as new acquisitions, investments, and complex corporate arrangements. We focus on a series of services, such as acquisition and disposal valuation advice including deal pricing and negotiation support, strategic value consulting for improvement of corporate and capital management decisions, financial modelling and value analysis. In short, upon being a member of our team, you will support clients to make profound strategic decisions, better conduct business transactions and decisions, appropriately allocate capital investment, and satisfy regulatory requirements with professional skills and in-depth industry knowledge.

Purpose-led work you’ll be part of

As a Valuations Associate (Intern) you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Develop valuation models for complex financial instrument and, under the guidance of senior team members, synthesize market & client information to complete valuation schedules for a variety of purposes including mergers and acquisitions (M&A), financial reporting, taxation, corporate decision support and corporate governance
• Research and develop quantitative tools to provide analytical insights into business transactions and asset valuation using market and company data
• Leverage technology to improve the existing working process and solve problems creatively

Experiences and skills you’ll use to solve

• Strong written and verbal communication skills to articulate new ideas
• Highly detail oriented with excellent organizational and analytical skills; an ability to think broadly and to ask questions about data, facts and other information to deliver quality to our clients
• Share and collaborate effectively with others, building relationships which are genuine and rooted in trust
• Ability to easily adapt and prioritize, demonstrating project management skills to handle changing priorities
• Fluent in French and English would be an asset
• A demonstrated commitment to valuing differences and working alongside diverse people and perspectives
