Digital Marketing Specialist (Permanent Full-time)

Location: Peterborough, ON (Hybrid Work Arrangement)

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Rate of Pay: Dependent on experience

As a Digital Marketing Specialist, you will:

  • Assist with the development, implementation, review and monitoring of the digital strategy to achieve business goals.
  • Maximize value from online marketing funnels by regularly analyzing traffic and usage trends.
  • Drive traffic to Kawartha Credit Union’s online properties through effective use of search engine optimization, paid ads, and engaging social media content. Develop metrics to measure monthly success rates.
  • Monitor and evaluate monthly traffic and usage and refine content and strategies to drive traffic to digital channels to support organizational growth.
  • Uncover opportunities and suggest performance optimization strategies according to Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Analyze, measure and report on KPIs and ROI monthly.
  • Maintain relationships with cross-functional teams and key business partners.
  • Manage the daily tactical operations of Kawartha’s digital channels (social media and website) by writing content and creating content calendars, co-ordinating and executing campaigns, recommending and implementing new features, and replying to incoming messages.
  • Research, write and publish financial-related content for digital marketing channels that is consistent with the credit union’s brand (weekly)
  • Provide input into the development of the digital content management budget with a focus on increasing usage of digital media channels.
  • Research consumer and digital trends to provide recommendations for enhanced usage and channel maximization (monthly).
  • Manage the experience across all social channels including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Linkedin etc.) and leverage various forms of content such as reels, infographics, polls, photos, and graphics.
  • Daily management, enhancement and maintenance of Kawartha’s internal and external websites focusing on content, functionality, and ease of use.
  • Stay informed of existing and emerging internet and web-based trends and technologies by conducting monthly competitive analysis.
  • Develop and implement website interfaces as required.
  • Provide input into the user experience and journey maps.

Qualifications Required:

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience managing digital marketing content and applications
  • Proven ability to write engaging content for the financial sector, with a strong understanding of financial products and services as they relate to different demographics
  • Experience developing digital marketing strategy including Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Search Engine Marketing (SEM), content marketing, data driven marketing, social media, and email marketing
  • Demonstrated knowledge of current digital/mobile UX trends
  • Strong and current understanding of:
    • Financial services
    • Google or Adobe Analytics, Google Adwords, programmatic, pre-roll and HTML
    • Proficiency with MS Office suite, Adobe Creative Suite, and Active Campaign
  • Collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Thorough, accurate and detail oriented.
  • Proven ability to write engaging content for the financial sector, with a solid understanding of financial products and services as they relate to different demographics.
  • Ability to manage and monitor multiple projects/campaigns against deliverables and deadlines.
  • Advanced editing and proofreading capabilities
  • Strong research, analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as a part of team.
