Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centred clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.
Position Overview
Experience
- At least five years experience, preferably in a hospital environment, in all phases of installation, maintenance and servicing of building electronic systems, consumer electronics, and industrial electronics required.
- Emphasis is given, but not limited to, fire alarm systems, communication systems security systems and CCTV.
- Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings and manuals to support related equipment.
- Must have knowledge of related CSA and building codes.
- Knowledge of and experience with surface mount technology would be an asset.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
- Complete high school education, Manitoba standards, required.
- Must have completed a recognized Electronics Course (minimum of ten months).
Certification/Licensure/Registration
- Limited Specialized Trade Electrician’s License (Electronics), Limited Specialized Trade Electrician’s License (Alarm Installer) required. CFAA Certificate and City of Winnipeg Fire Alarm License preferred.
Qualifications and Skills
- Must have good English communication skills, both verbal and written and excellent interpersonal skills.
Physical Requirements
- Position often requires working from ladders, scaffolding, high level platforms or in confined spaces and enclosures.
