AIM Roads is ACCIONA INFRASTRUCTURE MAINTENANCE (AIM). ACCIONA is a global multinational organization with projects in Infrastructure/Construction, Energy, and Service across the globe. AIM is contracted by the Ministry of Transportation to provide road maintenance services in Service Area 8 and Service Area 13 in the South and North Okanagan.

Responsibilities

• Under the leadership of the AIM Roads Project Director, the Co-op Student will support the Project Director, the Contract Manager, Operations Managers and Supervisors to ensure that contracts are running in accordance to the internal established processes, ensuring smooth communication between internal parties and fulfill requirements that necessary for corrections, implementation and usage of the company’s software and processes.
• Collaborate implementation of Acciona/AIM Contract Management systems, IT systems, etc including additional requirements required in ensuring that contracts/projects have the right tools required and in accordance to the needs identified.
• Assist with training to the Frontline operational crews and Excluded Stakeholder, across areas of the contracts, improving the knowledge and skills of the teams, assisting on the identification, development, and implementation of new processes, innovations and developments, whilst providing feedback to the Project Director and Contract Manager on any new development requirements/recommendations.
• Support various project management teams on reporting tasks that are required from the company-implemented systems for Highway Maintenance Operations tracking and reporting.
• Support the Project Director, Contract Manager and Operations Managers on tracking the works executed under Routine, Quantified, Additional Works and others, as necessary to be reported to the MOTI in compliance with all requirements.
• Support Project Director, Contract Manager and Operations Managers on the implementation of all cost control requirements, as defined by Acciona/AIM Roads, and provide effective tracking analysis on the status of the contracts.

Experience/Qualifications:

• Relevant experience in Operations and Maintenance projects.
• Engineering Students, with a preference for Civil and Mechanical disciplines

Salary: $21.00-$25.00 per hour
