This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of our Executive Talent Acquisition function. Reporting to North American Lead, Executive Talent Acquisition, you will be proactively headhunting and building leadership pipelines to ensure that the company's executive recruitment result in quality hires. The Recruiter , Executive Talent Acquisition (ETA) is responsible for developing and executing search strategies for executive level recruitment in North America. In addition, this role will serve as a consultant for strategic growth initiatives within both functional and P&L areas. This is an individual contributor role supporting North American VP+ population, based in Toronto or Boston and working within the North American Executive TA team and the broader Global TA and HR community. We have built an exceptional white-glove service in house for our executive leaders that mirrors a retained search practice.

Key Accountabilities

Beyond the day-to-day accountabilities of an exceptional operator, working within our broader team to achieve and celebrate success together is the goal. Individual responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for strategy, intake, search, and offer documentation for leaders at VP & above across our enterprise.
  • Deploy the highest quality of executive recruitment services, using data insights and feedback to generate a high-quality candidate and manager experiences.
  • Develop pipelines of talent to advise on succession plans. Provide insights and advise business and HR leaders in the evaluation and selection of executive talent participate in succession reviews and individual development plans for senior positions.
  • Employ direct channels such as personal networking, direct sourcing, employee referrals, affinity groups, and executive search firms to forge constructive relationships and build strong prospective talent pipelines.
  • Occasionally lead external retained search partners to deliver niche talent in highly specialized areas.
  • Maintain a data-driven approach and build deep insights on the industry and candidates with a robust database/intelligence on candidates, moves, new appointments and capabilities
  • Build a network in the industry for referencing; build insights on people beyond what is obvious.
  • Partner closely with our leaders of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI), HR Partners, and our internal customers to ensure DEI is the foundation of each search undertaken.
  • Engage in strategic projects to strengthen Executive TA function such as assessment, onboarding, and building new capabilities.

  • Support the onboarding process of our VP+ population to impact their retention and speed to effectiveness.

Position Requirements:

Candidates are expected to minimally reflect the following in their professional qualifications:

  • Post-secondary degree.
  • Executive search experience across the broader enterprise, rather than a specialist function.
  • Solid understanding of the financial services industry (either in insurance, asset management or banking).
  • Experience in leadership assessment tools.
  • Ability to work as part of a team, willingness to get involved and to work across fields.
  • Understand implicitly how to work with different people and various working styles.
  • Handle and prioritize multiple projects and outputs.
  • Clear communication to raise issues, achieve consensus and resolve any obstacles to execution.
  • A great teammate, able to demonstrate collaboration with peers.
  • Experience working in a global team environment, able to work outside of standard work hours.
  • Proactive and engaging.

Salary & Benefits

The annual base salary for this role is listed below.

Primary Location

Toronto, Ontario

Salary range is expected to be between

$82,500.00 CAD - $148,500.00 CAD
