The Opportunity
We are actively seeking a Fabrication Technician to join our growing Fabrication team at AGI – Swift Current, a division of AGI. In this role you will be responsible for ensuring that raw material is fabricated as per requirements by utilizing different fabrication machines.
The Team
We are currently a dynamic team of10 from varied backgrounds. We collaborate closely with the Production Supervisor and the AGI- Swift Current Leadership Team. The Fabrication Technician will report directly to the Production Supervisor.
Responsibilities
The Fabrication Technician will utilize multiple fabrication machines to ensure raw material is prepared for the next manufacturing process and will require the following but not limited to:
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written in English.
- Production, quality, and safety orientated
- Able to work independently, with minimal supervision, while part of a team.
- Ability to multi-task
- Capable of troubleshooting and problem solving.
- Physically able to lift to 50lbs.
Qualifications
- Experience in a fabrication function would be considered an asset but not required
- A positive attitude and approach to work
- Good organizational skills
- Punctual
- Willingness to learn and take instruction
