We are looking for General Labourers to perform various manual labour tasks on a casual basis. Casual employment does not guarantee any set number of hours per week; however, business is often busy enough to provide close to full-time work for weeks at a time.

Our ideal candidate is safety conscious and self-motivated, with experience in the construction industry or a willingness to learn.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

• Following all company policies as well as policies set by the the prime contractor on each worksite
• Regular use of hand tools and occasional use of power tools
• Loading and unloading materials
• Shovelling, sweeping, and cleaning heavy equipment and industrial sites
• Performing maintenance and repairs
• Keeping worksite clean, setting up and putting away tools and materials
• Other duties as assigned

Physical capabilities include lifting, climbing multiple flights of stairs, climbing ladders, and standing for extended periods.

No experience is required but will be considered an asset. All relevant orientations and training will be provided. We offer competitive wages based on experience.

Qualifications:

• Ability to take direction
• Knowledge of worksite safety and compliance
• Ability to work safely with a wide variety of hand and power tools and materials
• Ability to communicate professionally with clients and representatives
• Ability to prioritize, work efficiently, and multitask
• Problem solving skills
• Basic computer skills for completing orientations and training
• Own basic PPE (steel-toed boots, not shoes; appropriate clothing; hard hat; work gloves)
• Reliable transportation

Assets:

• High school diploma/GED
• Previous construction or skilled trade experience
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license
