The Graphic Design and Marketing Specialist translates marketing strategies into a wide range of creative materials that meet MLM’s standards and the personalities of our independently branded marinas. This includes (but is not limited to) taking existing projects and making changes to that work as well as designing new marketing pieces.
In this position, the candidate will be helping create and execute marketing campaign pieces, email marketing, social media marketing and print marketing. The position is fast-paced and you can expect to work on numerous projects at one time.
Job Description
Support the marketing department’s initiatives across all 18 marinas. Responsibilities include:
Social Media:
- Schedules social media content with the use of Later.com
- Builds dialog and manages “community” online to respond to comments
- Responds to direct messages and sends referrals to accurate locations
- Build organic content at the marina
- Staying up to date on trends and changes on the social platforms
- Travel between marina locations for content collection
Front End Website:
- Internal maintenance support
- Support in building landing pages for all campaigns
- Support in UI/UX design
- Support in SEO
- Support in Website Audits
Graphic Designer:
- Design email communications
- Design branded social media content
- Assists with the design of all core campaigns
- Create, proofread, and edit copy for various marketing channels, ensuring a consistent voice
- Liaises with Marketing Manager and Creative Manager to keep projects on track
- Maintain file management and organization to ensure the department can work cohesively as a team
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of Graphic Design and Marketing experience
- Experience with social coordination
- Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suites. Specifically, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, and InDesign to create original artwork or modify existing ones to meet specific design requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as good copywriting and proofreading skills
- Experienced with communication software such as Later.com, and Constant Contact.
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Office programs – Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Strong ability to manage tight production deadlines, with multiple projects
- Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently
- Knowledge of traditional and digital marketing tools
- Valid drivers license and vehicle required
- Knowledge of photography and videography considered an asset
