Pioneer Construction is seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our dynamic team at a mine site in Wawa, Ontario. This is a full-time position available with competitive wages, benefits and more.

Shift: 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off rotation

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Repair and service a variety of heavy equipment,
• Perform electrical, hydraulic and mechanical maintenance
• Anticipate and troubleshoot breakdowns, list parts required and process orders
• Prepare daily service reports
• Maintain a clean, safe, respectful work environment,
• Display professionalism toward our company and customers
• Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures: safety standards operations, maintenance, training, cleanliness standards, etc.
• Perform related duties as assigned by the supervisor

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

• Heavy Equipment Red Seal Certificate required
• 5 years of experience working on heavy machinery is an asset
• Valid G license required
• D-Z license is an asset
• Bring your own tools

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Knowledge and ability to repair trucks, trailers and/or power equipment,
• Ability to work as efficiently as possible with minimal supervision,
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
• Ability to adapt to last-minute changes as dictated by the needs of our customers.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
• Abide by all Company policies including, but not limited to the following: Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental, Human Resources policies
