Position Overview

We are looking for a full-time seasonal Housekeeping Manager that will establish and maintain high quality standards for the cleanliness of the rooms. Organizational and leadership skills needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of housekeepers

• Be the point of contact for your team

• Manage the inventory and order cleaning supply

• Perform a variety of cleaning activities such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and polishing, supporting your team when needed.

• Ensure all rooms are cared for and inspected according to standards.

• Protect and inspect equipment used by the team (electric carts, vacuums) and make sure there are no inadequacies.

• Deal with reasonable complaints / requests with professionalism and patience.

• Experience as a supervisor in a previous role.

• Ability to lead a team and hold strict confidentiality.

• Ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and train a team of housekeepers, be their main contact point

• Supervise and coordinate activities of your team, deliver rooms before 4PM

• Making sure staff work follows health and safety rules

• Prepare weekly schedule in accordance with occupancy

• Perform a variety of cleaning activities such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and polishing, supporting your team during busy time

• Protect and inspect equipment used by the team (electric carts, vacuums) and make sure there are no inadequacies.

• Prepare weekly schedule in accordance with occupancy

• Ensure quality control - inspect all cabins prior to guests’ arrival

• Coordinate work activities with other departments

• Recommend or arrange for additional maintenance services

• Coordinate laundry pick up with suppliers, ensure inventory levels are adequate and order supplies when needed

• Deal with reasonable complaints / requests with professionalism and patience.

• Perform other duties as requested by management

Requirements

• Must have a minimum of a year of management / supervisory role

• Available from May 9 to October 17

• Provide your resume and cover letter

• Legally eligible to work in Canada

• Provide clean criminal records

Staff Accommodation available upon request and availability

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 5 months

Salary: $21.00-$22.00 per hour
