About the Role:

We are looking for our next HR professional to support the HR department with a variety of human resource administrative functions and initiatives that align with the EBH culture, values, strategies, and business needs. We are seeking a Human Resources (HR) and Benefits Coordinator for our head office, located in beautiful South Surrey, Campbell Height Business District.

The Human Resources Coordinator will work closely with the Senior HR Advisor and provide a variety of confidential HR administration support, such as administering employee benefits, setting up new hires, and assisting with various HR Adhoc projects, as assigned.

Position Type/Schedule:

This role will be onsite based out of Head Office. This is a full-time position, Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week with the ability for hybrid remote work following the probationary period.

Work Location: 19295 25th Ave, Surrey B.C

Key Accountabilities?

  • Assist with the day-to-day operations of the HR department
  • Coordination and update of new hire, transfer, promotions and termination administrative processes in HRIS systems
  • Respond to all benefit related inquires and coordinate benefits administration with employees and benefit carriers
  • Maintain information in HRIS to ensure consistency and integrity of HR data as per HR administration guidelines and conduct timely audits
  • Assist with recruitment and reference checks
  • High collaboration with the HR team and various department within the company
  • Create and maintain reports, resources, processes, and communications tools (handbooks, brochures, presentation, and Intranet, etc.)
  • Assist with HR projects and the development and coordination of HR program initiatives
  • Reviews, analyzes and recommends improvements to current processes, promoting technological solutions
  • Participate and collaborate in various committees as needed
  • Responsibility for HR records management

Required Skills, Experience & Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education (Certificate, Diploma or Degree) in Human Resources, Business Administration and/or a related field or equivalent education and experience
  • A CPHR designation and/or CPHR Candidate working towards CPHR designation is considered an asset
  • Minimum 3 years of HR experience with a Western Canadian focus
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and MS PowerPoint is a strong asset
  • Tech savvy and a power user of software including, Saba TalentSpace, ADP Workforce Now, Smartsheet, MS 365 Office Suite Products, MS Teams, One Drive, SharePoint
  • Solid understanding of HR best practices, legislation, provincial employment standards and OHS regulations in Western Canada
  • Experience working in the distribution industry and/or privately owned company is a strong asset
  • Possess strong organizational skills, resiliency to changing demands and managing priorities
  • Proven ability to form strategic partnerships, build relationships and respect cultural diversity
