As Part of the maintenance team the Industrial Mechanic will be responsible to maintain, repair, install, assemble and modify equipment to maximize uptime, quality and production. 12 Hour Daytime shift with shared on call schedule.

Job Description

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

• Perform Preventive Maintenance on equipment according to PM schedule
• Aid in completion of Work Orders submitted to the Maintenance Department
• Cleaning, lubricating and performing other routine maintenance work on equipment
• Adjusting machinery and repairing or replacing defective parts
• Align and calibrate machinery and equipment parts as required for efficient and safe operation
• Maintaining a clean workplace after work is complete
• Complete all paperwork as required
• Work with contractors as required
• Ensure all work performed adheres to all relevant organizational, provincial and federal safety regulations, codes and specifications

FOOD SAFETY AND QUALITY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Participate in Training as needed
• Follow GMP Practices

SKILLS REQUIRED (INCLUDE EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND PROFICIENCY):

• Journeyman or 4th level Apprentice (Other Levels may be considered dependent on experience)
• Previous experience is considered an asset
• Complete company required Food Safety and Quality Training
• Participate in all required Health and Safety Training

Compensation and Benefits:

• Compensation is commensurate with experience
