Ryker Oilfield Hauling is seeking a Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic for our Wainwright, Alberta location

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Shop Foreman & Head Mechanic, the primary responsibility of this position is to perform all types of repairs and safety inspections (CVIP) to the Ryker Oilfield Hauling fleet.

• Diagnose and repair all systems on rig moving equipment (tractors & trailers) and vehicles. This includes all electronics, diesel engines, manual and automated transmissions, suspension and steering, differentials, brake system, HVAC, etc.
• Perform preventative maintenance such as fluid and various filter changes, testing of batteries, adjustments to brake system and clutch components and lubricating moving parts of equipment.
• Perform CVIP inspections & accurately record all work done for internal and external agency records.
• Assist in ordering of parts and supervising shop staff.
• Willingness to travel for mechanical service calls to lease sites in and around the Wainwright & Kindersley area.

Qualifications:

Ideal candidates have the mechanical skills and qualifications (Heavy Duty Truck & Transport Equipment Journeyman Certificate) to perform the above repairs and inspections. Experience working on heavy duty trucks, trailers and other equipment used to perform rig moves. The successful candidate will have strong organizational and time management skills allowing them to complete repairs in a timely and efficient manner. 'Fix it Right the First Time' Attitude!

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $40.00-$45.00 per hour

Experience:

• mechanical: 1 year (preferred)
• Heavy Equipment Mechanics: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• Class 1 Licence (preferred)
