Job Summary

Toronto Redi-Mix is seeking to fill the role of Loader operator who will be responsible for the daily tasks of loading and maintaining stockpiles, which may include physical and manual labour.

Working Hours:

  • Regular working hours:

Monday – Friday 9:00 am-7:00pm (may require starting earlier than or later as well as finishing earlier or later depending on customer/company requirements).

Alternate Saturdays 6:00am-2:00pm or longer if needed.

  • Overtime required during peak periods and when workload necessitates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Communicate job orders and product specifications; plan for material production and execute product distribution.
  • Ensure correct product material is being distributed to customer.
  • Organize and maintain an obstructive-free work area.
  • Maintain all material stockpiles in an organized manner.
  • Perform daily pre-operational checks on all equipment.
  • Check all fluid levels before operating and grease daily.
  • Observe all equipment gauges and meters.
  • Maintains a clean workspace including the cab of the equipment at all times.
  • Wear the appropriate personal protective equipment to protect the worker from actual and potential hazards.
  • Travel to other sites may be required on occasion (Goreway, Horner).
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Communicate efficiently and act in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Ability to read, write and comprehend the English language.
  • Able to work well independently as well as part of a team.
  • Exercise visual concentration while using equipment, tools and equipment operating (specifically conveyor belts, rollers, vehicle traffic and pedestrians).
  • Maintain continuous attention and mental alertness.
  • Sustain working outdoors and exposure to extreme temperatures (hot, dry, windy, rainy, cold, wet).
