The Evergreens Foundation is a not-for-profit housing management body proudly supporting independent housing in Alberta. We aim to facilitate quality of life for all of our residents, through our multiple senior and social housing facilities located in Hinton, Jasper, Edson, Grade Cache, Evansburg. We are growing at a fast face and expanding in Victor Lake and Wildwood!
This position is permanently, full-time based at our beautiful Alpine Summit Seniors Lodge in Jasper, Alberta, a community in the largest national park in the Canadian Rockies known for its outstanding natural beauty.

ABOUT THE ROLE
We are currently seeking a Lodge Manager who has the passion and desire to lead a team and provide seniors with the confidence that they can live independently at any stage of life. You will be managing all aspects of the facility, including Recreation, Health & Wellness, Hospitality Services, Food & Beverage services, People Management, Quality Assurance, Safety & Security, and Financial Management.
Directly reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the responsibilities and essential job functions are:
- Lead 6 passionate teams at the Lodge (a total of 27 employees).
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the facility.
- Manage 24-7 coverage by trained and qualified staff.
- Manage positive working relationships are in place with contract service providers such as Home Care, AHS staff etc.
- Manage, maintain and report on financial health of the Lodge.
- Ensure a clean, safe, pleasant, harmonious, respectful & comfortable environment is maintained at all times.
- Ensure compliance to policies, procedures, Government and Foundation Standards and the Union Collective Agreement.
- Motivate and empower staff to achieve lodge and organizational goals and celebrate successes.
- Collaborate with CAO, COO, CFO, Director of Human Resources, Asset Manager and Regional Executive Chef as needed.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR/QUALIFICATIONS
- 3-5 years of leadership and management experience
- Strong experience in managing large teams including facility operations, culinary and housekeeping staff members
- Proven abilities in training and motivating team members
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication and computer skills
- An empathetic and professional personality
- Ability to problem solve and work on own initiative
- Previous experience of working in a unionized environment would be valuable
- Experience in senior housing, healthcare, and/or the hospitality industry would be an asset
