This position reports to Maintenance Supervisor.
Responsibilities:
- Preventative maintenance and repairs on warehouse racking systems
- Perform diagnostics, preventative maintenance and repairs to electrically powered material handling equipment and other warehouse handling equipment
- This position will work on but not limited to; forklifts, pallet trucks, shunt trucks, trailers, building maintenance, gas/diesel powered equipment, plant maintenance, golf carts, front end loaders and more.
Oxford Frozen Foods requires all employees to have an active role in organizational sustainability initiatives including,
- Correctly divert waste to support Zero Waste initiatives
- React to green wastes (wasted energy and water, air leaks, product leaks etc.) by submitting work orders for immediate repair
Qualifications:
- Minimum Grade 12 Diploma or Equivalent
- Relevant maintenance experience would be considered an asset
Desired Qualities and Abilities:
- Welding experience with Tig and Mig
- Work safely using hand & power tools
- Able to work at heights up to 30 feet using scissor lifts and boom lifts in the cold
- Read and interpret blueprints and design sketches
- Basic knowledge to perform building maintenance
- Follow all policies and procedures and work in a safe manner
- Sense of urgency
