POSITION TITLE: Maintenance Technician

LOCATION: Barrie, Ontario

SHIFT: Afternoon Shift

MacLean Engineering is looking for skilled Maintenance Technician, to join our growing facilities team in Barrie Ontario. This is a great opportunity to be part of a small growing team, supplying aftermarket parts for heavy mobile mining equipment to various customers internationally, and to our other Ontario manufacturing plants. About the Position: This position is responsible for performing a wide variety of special project, equipment, building and ground maintenance task. The following proficiencies are required:

• Timely fabrication of special projects, production equipment repairs, jigs, fixtures, devices, shadow boards, visual displays, storage solutions, work stations, etc. as required to support team.
• Timely and cost-effective maintenance, repair, upgrade, and modification of building, grounds, parking lot, and yard. Plumbing, ventilation and general preventative maintenance of all production equipment, tools, mobile equipment, and material handling devices located within or about the facility.
• Advising Facilities Maintenance Supervisor of any operational deviation(s) found.
• Timely execution of maintenance activities as identified by work orders.
• Traceable filing of accurately completed equipment registers and work orders.
• Identification of tools and materials as may be required to execute maintenance, repair, overhaul, upgrade and modification materials, including local travel to local suppliers for pickup and transport back to the facility

About You: The successful candidate(s) must be willing to learn, open-minded and flexible, organized and detail oriented, team oriented, disciplined, and must have a positive attitude, along with any one of the following qualifications:

• Diploma or Degree in a related discipline is an asset
• Five (5) + years of experience working within a facility maintenance or building management role
• Forklift, overhead crane & slinging, fall arrest and working at heights experience is an asset
