Why This Role is Important:
The Marketing Manager, PC Telecom Retail Promotions will take a leadership role in planning, optimizing, and implementing promos for The Mobile Shop and PC mobile. Reporting directly to the Senior Manager, PC Telecom Marketing, this is an exciting opportunity for a bold, curious and analytical retail marketer to build skills and experience in end-to-end planning and execution of strategic, multi-channel promo campaigns to drive sales.
In this role, you will lead the retail promotions calendar. From planning and execution of retail events to performance reporting and integration of test & learn, you’ll take on the challenge of driving traffic to stores and websites through always improving retail event strategies! You’ll join a fast-paced marketing team on a growing retail business. We have developed a strong baseline structure to approach our in-market activity and identifying new opportunities to innovate is encouraged! And you’ll work with an entrepreneurial cross-functional team to support new ways of promoting our brands!
What You'll Do:
PC Telecom Promotional Campaign Lead
- Be responsible for the promotional part of the portfolio – roadmap the vision to expand and drive more impact of promotional events for PC Telecom
- Lead campaign planning, execution and reporting for a full retail calendar of multi-channel campaigns
- Lead campaigns and projects from end-to-end, working with internal counterparts and external agency partners, translation, legal and finance to strive for detailed campaign delivery
- Continuously work with all of your partners to grow the impact and performance of our retail promotional campaigns
- Promote the work & wins! Show off the performance to internal teams and apply your findings to make the next execution even better
Day-to-day Collaboration
- Collaborate with the entire team to brainstorm new initiatives, develop test, learn from each other, and generally improve our marketing abilities as a group
- Write clear partner briefs that guide the teams to deliver strong creative, media, digital, etc programs and projects
- Lead the administration of this part of the portfolio to ensure legal, compliance and finances are secured and closed off
What You Bring
- University degree with a specialization in Marketing, Business, Commerce or equivalent field
- 5 years in marketing with hands-on experience handling and completing multi-channel digital-first promotional campaigns
- Retail marketing or Telecom marketing experience is preferred
- Experience running digital-first, multi-channel promotional campaigns on the corporate or agency side, with experience using channels like Instagram, Facebook, Google properties, emails, SMS, store signage, radio and more!
- Highly meticulous and organized with excellent time management skills, capable of handling and prioritizing multiple projects
- Experience working with multiple stakeholders to deliver impactful marketing programs
- Using customer data to drive performance and direct-report experience is an asset
- Diligent, with high-standards to QA and deliver flawless content
- Driven to deliver constant improvements and suggest new insights to drive customer acquisition
- Analytical nature to understand “the why”; Ability to see opportunities and suggest solutions for problems
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- A strong understanding of CASL requirements is considered an asset
