The Opportunity:
We are seeking experienced Development Miners for our Lalor Mine.
This position is a 7x7 schedule and is certified to the USW 7106.
Relocation packages and housing assistance is available to move you and your family to the vibrant community of Snow Lake. Although we do have a camp available for those who wish to drive in and out to Snow Lake, please note this is not a “fly-in-fly-out” opportunity.
Responsibilities:
- Receives working place assignments and instructions from Front Line Supervisor.
- Transports materials, tools, equipment and blasting agents and accessories.
- Follows Hudbay Procedures and Manitoba Regulations for all Drilling, Blasting, Bolting and other development practices
- Complete detailed Field Level Risk Assessment daily prior to starting work.
- Complete throrough Pre-op on all equipment operated. (Qualified & Authorized)
- Follow all driving layouts as per design following Hudbay practices and procedures.
- Installs and maintains services as per Hudbay standards.
- Records and reports relevant data as per daily task assignment
Qualifications:
- At least 4 years underground experience
- Two-Boom/One-Boom Jumbo experience
- Mclean Bolter/Mechanical Bolter experience is preferred
- Jackleg & Stoper experience
- 10 Yard Scoop experience
