Job Description

We are looking for a Maintainence Millwright for our client in Vaughan, ON. They handle a variety of Food Direct Contact Corrugated Packaging reaching a range of global markets and global standard including both human and animal consumption. For over 30 years They have been producing quality products and are committed to continuing to provide a safe and sustainable production environment

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

• Installing stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment according to layout plans using hand and power tools
• Inspecting and examining machinery and equipment to detect irregularities and malfunctions
• Adjusting machinery and repairing or replacing defective parts
• Operating machine tools to fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance or set-up of machineries
• Ensuring operating safety devices function properly on completion of repairs, modifications and installations
• Sharpening and maintaining machine tools
• Participating in the PM program on all equipment for continuous improvement of all machines
• Keeping detailed and accurate maintenance reports and documentation
• Cleaning, lubricating and performing other routine maintenance work on machineries
• Adhering to workplace safety policies, regulations and compliances
• Maintaining a clean and environmentally safe work area
• Support the Maintenance Team
• Trouble shoot and problem solve machine breakdowns

COMPETENCIES:

• Demonstrates good communication, leadership, takes initiative and teamwork skills

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Certification (433A)
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, install / trouble shoot industrial equipment.
• Ability to operate lifting devices as hoist, cranes, jacks and tractors
• Ability to oversee industrial projects, as installation, repairs and fabrication of parts

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Ability to show teamwork, good housekeeping skills, promote a culture of health and safety

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $32.00-$40.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• Morning shift
• Overtime

Experience:

• millwright: 5 years (preferred)
