Mover/G Class Driver Job at Local Staffing
Our client in the east end is looking for an experienced 5 tonne G Class Driver for a commercial moving company. This driver would also be responsible for helping move furniture with a dolly, and in some cases assemble and/or install the items.
Requirements:
- Full G-Class License with clean driver’s abstract
- Physically fit and able to lift 50lb-100lbs on a repetitive basis
- Experience with furniture delivery, set-up and assembly
- Provide your own CSA-approved steel-toe boots
- Must be presentable and have good communication skills
- Ability to interact politely and professionally with customers
- Must be able to solve problems and think outside of the box
We are looking for a candidate with a great attitude, strong work ethic and a desire to succeed.
Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00am start time, end times vary based on volume
Starting wage: $21/hr
Key job responsibilities:
- Ability to Navigate the City of Ottawa using maps/GPS
- Delivery, moving & assembly of products
- Wrapping and unwrapping products, removal of pack materials
- Loading and unloading trucks using a dolly
- Providing exceptional customer service
- Following Health & Safety policies and procedures
