Marianhill is a charitable long-term care facility located in the beautiful Ottawa Valley. We provide specialized care for 200 long-term and complex continuing care Residents as well as a 3 bed hospice unit.

Marianhill is currently seeking Permanent, Casual Respite Workers for Deep River and Area

The Respite Worker works under the direction and supervision of the

Manager of Community Services or his/her delegate to help clients

achieve the highest level of independence possible in their home.

Such duties are performed in accordance with Marianhill’s Mission

Statement, established policies and procedures and current legislation

and in a manner which respects the uniqueness, dignity, worth, self-

respect, self-determination and independence of the client and

promotes maximum independence.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1) Personal Support Worker Certificate or equivalent is preferred

2) Own transportation is required.

3) Experience in working with Geriatrics and Dementia care is an asset.

4) Experience in household management an asset.

5) Oral and written proficiency in French is preferred.

6) Oral and written proficiency in English is required.

7) Excellent attendance is essential.

8) Food Handlers training is required

Hours of Work: Various and non-guaranteed - client based

Rate of Pay: Hourly $21.89-22.43(CUPE Local 2764)
