Plant Operator Job at DSS
Responsibilities:-
· Follow health & safety procedures
· Quality Assurance and Process Safety
· Housekeeping
· Detail understanding of Purification and Clarification Processing
· Continuous Process Improvements
· Process equipment operations
· Production optimization
· Team Player
· Other duties as assigned
Eligibility:
Ontario Secondary School Graduation Diploma (or equivalent)
· Post-secondary education in one or more of the following areas: electrical, mechanical or stationary engineering (3rd class or higher), certified engineering technology discipline or formal education in biology or chemistry
· A minimum of 2-5 years related experience in a chemical process environment or similar industry
· Familiarity with digital control systems to the point of making changes and understanding impact of such changes
· Manufacturing experience focused on a production / quality / safety balance in a hands on capacity working with large scale automated processing equipment
· Understanding of basic chemical purification and clarification techniques, general understanding of electrical interfaces and a mechanical aptitude
· Ability to recognize process improvement opportunities
· Applied literacy – reading, writing and mathematics at a post-secondary school level
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $26.76 per hour
Schedule:
- 12 hour shift

- Port Colborne, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
