Processing Technician - Weekend Shift Job at Simply Solventless Concentrates Ltd.
Simply Solventless Concentrates Ltd. (SSC) is hiring experienced cannabis Processing Technicians – Weekend Shift to support the manufacturing of solventless cannabis extracts. This position is located close to Calgary, Alberta, 10 minutes west of Airdrie. The Weekend Shift is from 8 AM to 5:00 PM on Saturday and Sunday.

The Processing Technician – Weekend Shift is responsible for all manufacturing tasks including processing of cannabis into bubble hash, live rosin, hash rosin, flower rosin, dry sift, and traditional hash products. Additional duties include, packaging, labelling, and preparing products for shipping. The Processing Technician will perform these duties while diligently following all processing and facility related Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and complying with all company policies and Health Canada regulatory requirements.
The Processing Technician – Weekend Shift brings to SSC a proven track record of setting and meeting ambitious goals.
Reports to: Production Supervisor – Weekend Shift.
Responsibilities
- Process fresh and dried cannabis materials into premium cannabis concentrates including:
- Bubble Hash
- Live Rosin
- Hash Rosin
- Flower Rosin
- Dry Sift
- Traditional Soft and Pressed hash
- Other products as required
- Packaging of bulk, semi-finished and finished goods, including portioning, weighing, packaging in various types of containers including pouches, jars and tubes, labeling of products, master casing and preparing finished products for shipping.
- Follow, and ensure all co-workers within the processing department follow, SOPs for all manufacturing and packaging activities at all times.
- Follow good documentation practices including timely and accurate recording of data as required by the SOPs. Assist with inventory reconciliation for completed work orders
- Participate in continuous improvement activities designed to streamline manufacturing processes and improve product quality.
- Ensure all manufacturing and packaging equipment are in safe working order prior to use and that it can meet or exceed safety and quality requirements.
- Identify and mitigate all possible sources of product contamination.
- Assist with various other duties as required.
Required Skills
- Interest in building a career in the cannabis industry.
- Must be able to work in the facility located 10 minutes west of Airdrie.
- Has own transportation, or a reliable carpool.
- Can withstand prolonged periods of standing or sitting, in varying climactic conditions including refrigerated processing rooms.
- Can physically work/maneuver in tight spaces and from heights.
Other Requirements
- Outstanding attention to detail and observation ability.
- Gets along well in a team atmosphere and able to work independently when required.
- Ability to multitask and swiftly switch between tasks.
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment.
- Health Canada Security Clearance preferred.
- Available to work overtime when required.
