Product Manager Job at Norwood Sawmills
The Opportunity:
Norwood not only builds the world’s best portable sawmills, we empower people everywhere to build their best futures through wood. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Product Manager looking to make their mark and empower our customers to build their dreams. We need someone with a track record of success bringing great products to our domestic and global markets. An ideal candidate has experience with manufactured consumer goods in a D2C space.
You will work closely with the Product Development team to make sure that we are delivering the innovative product solutions Norwood is known for. You will also work closely with both Sales and Marketing to ensure your products are competitive, valuable, and understood in the marketplace.
This role will be primarily remote, but may require you to be on-site (in Oro-Medonte and area) on occasion for meetings, training or product marketing initiatives.
Your Top Priorities:
- Managing wide range of products, designing, and executing promotional and lifecycle plans and creating/executing the strategies across portfolio of portable sawmills, attachments, and accessories
- Define go-to-market and pricing strategies to drive profitability and conversion
- Gather voice of the customer and accumulate market knowledge using data and analytics to drive portfolio improvement
- Play a lead role in the intercompany idea generation of new products. Work collaboratively with cross functional teams to bring products to market.
- Drive successful execution of new initiatives and ideas with Sales and Marketing
- Support annual marketing, strategic, and business planning at brand level
- Maintain technical info on eCommerce and quotation tools
- Provide market forecasts to support supply chain planning
- Lead creation of product marketing collateral to improve visibility of product category
What it Takes to Succeed:
- A University Degree in Business and/or Marketing, or equivalent relevant working experience
- A minimum of five years of product management experience is required
- Strong collaboration and teamwork skills with a variety of different cross-functional areas, and ability to influence multiple stakeholders
- Ability to read P&L, manage budgets, establish business strategies, and measure ROI
- Thorough understanding of North American codes and standards (CSA, UL) applicable to the portfolio
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Self-starter and customer focus oriented
- Proficient with NetSuite and Microsoft Office products
