Full time, temporary (Approximately one year)

Providing first level management support for program locations, the Program Manager provides leadership to the staff teams, in the context of Christian Horizons policies and procedures. Working collaboratively with the employee teams to ensure excellent quality of supports to persons living in these homes, the Manager ensures that administrative and district level responsibilities are completed on time and within budget. This role requires effective coordinating and liaising with families and service partners in the development and promotion of supports and treatments to meet the needs of people supported. The Program Manager will be involved in facilitating job competition processes, including conducting interviews, and will be required to demonstrate capability as an effective case manager.

Requirements: DSW or equivalent; relevant degree/diploma with approximately two to five (2-5) years’ experience in a management/leadership capacity, preferably in the Developmental Services field; previous supervisory experience is an asset. With the ability to work effectively in a changing environment, the Program Manager is expected to maintain a flexible schedule in order to meet the needs of the homes they manage. Transportation is required, given that this position entails travel. Professional business communication skills are essential to the success of this role, as the Program Manager represents the organization in partnership with a variety of internal and external stakeholders. Able to work effectively in a fast-paced and changing environment, they are expected to provide leadership, coaching, planning, and problem-solving supports to the staff team and program operations. Excellent computer skills and experience in the area of financial management is required, as is an understanding of the Direct Support roles. Ability to demonstrate Person-Centered Values is essential and knowledge and experience in the application of principles, theories and practices related to behaviour therapy, mental health, and crisis response is required.
