The Purchasing Assistant - Expeditor is responsible for providing support to the Purchasing Department to ensure a smooth running and efficient purchasing team and works closely with Buyers and the VP, Purchasing & Inventory. The successful candidate will maintain pertinent inventory stock levels, Purchase Order delivery date information and branch replenishment using digital and analog processes within ERP system. The successful candidate will collaborate to strengthen internal processes and operational efficiency to ensure customer satisfaction.
Position Type/Schedule
This role will be onsite based out of the Head Office. This is a full-time position, Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week with the ability for hybrid remote work following the probationary period (3 months).

What are the Key Accountabilities?
- Cooperative. Working closely with the VP of Purchasing and Inventory and assisting the Purchasing team as well as our multiple branches
- Comfortable with technology. Keeps information up to date in the EBH sales software system and enters inventory stock level updates as received by branches or buyers using digital tools
- Organized. Being organized is key due to the high volume of requests that will require you to adjust and work through interruptions
- Relationship building. Connect with the branches to provide reports and ensure stock levels are accurate
- Data maintenance. Update pricing, Purchase Order Dates, Vendor data, inventory levels
- Continuous improvement. Continuously reviewing our data and making recommendations for process efficiency
What You’ll Bring To This Role?
- High school diploma and/or equivalent education
- Purchasing knowledge is an asset
- 2+ years of customer service experience
- 1 + years of experience in an office administrative position
- Intermediate computer skills with proficiency in MS Office and the ability to learn new software
- English language proficiency
- Electrical industry experience would also be a strong asset
