We are seeking a Senior Financial Accountant – Revenue Producing Properties to provide financial accounting support to the Reporting Manager.

About the role
Your key accountabilities will include:

• reconciling balance sheet accounts including accounts receivable, deferred charges rent deposits, loans and mortgages.
• working with the property manager, prepare annual CAM, property tax and insurance reconciliations on a tenant-by-tenant basis.
• working with the property manager to prepare the annual budget and cashflow for those properties assigned to them.
• working with the property manager to manage accounts receivable for the property.
• reconciling loans and mortgages to third-party loan statements.
• creating journal entries associated with key duties (includes amortization of deferred charges, application of rental deposits, straight line rent, capital asset amortization).
• mentoring and sharing knowledge with colleagues.

About you
You have:

• a minimum of 3 years of senior finance or accounting experience
• exceptional capabilities in Microsoft Excel
• proven use of SQL and VBA or similar is preferred
• post-secondary education or suitable professional training and experience
