Located in the Southern Athabasca region, MEG’s Christina Lake Project is a multi-phased project approximately 150 kilometers South of Fort McMurray in Northeast Alberta. Comprised of approximately 200 square kilometers of leases, this SAGD operation currently has regulatory approvals in place to produce approximately 210,000 bpd. All workers will be staying at the state-of-the-art Poplar Ridge Lodge, which boasts a gym, rec area, commissary, laundry facility, Wi-Fi, cable, custom sandwiches, as well as full breakfasts and dinners. We have an amazing, experienced site team at MEG Energy who have safety and efficient work practices at the top of mind.

Jardeg is recruiting Skilled Labourers with the MEG Energy Turnaround Projects team on site near Conklin, Alberta. This is a full-time/temporary position on 6/1 rotation day shifts and night shifts available. This is a drive-in / drive-out site.


Assist skilled trades people and perform a wide range of tasks at construction sites.


Responsibilities:

  • Cleaning of company vehicles and/or equipment.

  • Loading, unloading, identifying, and distributing materials and equipment

  • Cleaning and preparation of construction components (Modules, Process equipment etc.)

  • Execute assigned tasks in a safe and efficient manner.

  • Ask required questions and take the required direction to endure safety that work is accomplished safely.

  • Understand and follow URS' safety management system and core values.

  • Maintain all company tools and equipment to the required standards.

  • Foster a cooperative and positive work atmosphere.


Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of related experience.

  • Previous construction experience

  • Physical strength and stamina

  • Manual dexterity

  • Safety conscious attitude

  • Construction Safety Training Systems 2020 Certification

  • H2S Alive

  • Energy Safety Canada Certified Fall Protection

  • Energy Safety Canada Certified Confined Space

  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License (no restrictions) and a clean 3 Year Driver's Abstract

  • Fit Tests
