Weekly Maintenance Technician

Looking for summer staff

About the role:

• Driving around the GTA and area to complete a list of daily maintenance jobs.
• Vacuum, skim surface, test and balance chemicals etc. to maintain swimming pools.
• Check system operation to make sure everything is working properly.
• Do regular maintenance on pool systems
• Communicate any problems or issues on the app or to your manager.
• Meet customers and answer their questions on-site while always providing high quality customer service.
• Work as a team of two to complete the daily list of maintenance jobs.

Skills Required:

• Self-starter with attention to details
• Likes to learn and apply new skills
• Able to carry 20kg/40 lbs
• Industry experience is an asset but not essential.
• Highly motivated, with a positive attitude and the ability to work unsupervised.
• Enjoy the outdoors and willing to work in all types of weather.
• Able to self-manage and motivate on job sites.
• Enjoy engaging with customers in a positive and professional manner.

Mandatory Requirements:

• G or G2 Driver’s license and be comfortable driving around all areas of the city.
• Be available Monday – Friday for full shift and some Saturdays may be required.
• Must be able to work long hours in the busy seasons as required.
• Must be able to get to the office each morning by 8am
• Must work safely and follow safety guidelines and rules
• Must be able to start at the beginning of May and work until the Friday before labour day at a minimum. Work can be provided from March-December.

Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 6 months

Salary: From $18.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Markham, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
