Telecommunications Surveyor:

WaveStar Networks is seeking a number of Telecommunications Surveyors to join our GTA team who provide services to Cable/Telecom users (perform on-site surveying of utility pole aerial and underground communications lines and potential new construction routes).

Responsibilities:

• Collects aerial and underground field data for pole line engineering data
• Performs site surveys to collect, analyze and organize basic engineering data to develop design layouts and prepare all engineering documentation required for a complete functional design
• Prepares layouts and detail drawings with complex assemblies from notes, verbal instructions and rough or detailed sketches

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a Surveyor Role is an asset
• Experience in Telecommunications Outside Plant design and field experience is considered an asset
• Experience in drafting design tools is considered an asset
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Must have access to a personal vehicle, company vehicle provided where warranted
• Must be willing to travel when required
• Must follow safe work practices and abide by all safety rules and regulations
• Ability to work in any and all-weather conditions
• Ability to lift up to 30lbs
• Computer literacy; Microsoft Office Tools (Email, Word processing, Spreadsheets and Presentation tools)
• Willing to work various shifts to meet client requirements
• Ability to effectively handle both favorable and unfavorable customer interactions
