The opportunity…

The Territorial Agent Liquor Store Clerk is responsible for conducting Territorial Agent services on behalf of other government departments, customer service; product knowledge, selling skills, operating a computerized POS system and serving the public in the retail sales of liquor.

We are looking for an individual who is interested in working in a fast-paced retail and client service environment where timelines, accuracy and attention to detail are essential. The candidate should also demonstrate strong organizational skills and enjoy working both independently and as part of a dynamic team. The person we are seeking will have sound judgment, excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills. Essential Qualifications (what we look for on your resume)

Please submit your resume clearly demonstrating how you meet the following qualifications. Please note selection for further consideration will be based solely on the information you provide in your resume. In addition, when you list your work experience in your resume, please include the month and year you started and ended a job.

• Considerable experience working in a retail or licensed establishment providing customer service;
• Experience balancing of cash and receipts;
• Experience using a computerized Point of Sales system; and
• Experience with shipping and receiving, validating and stocking inventory.

Candidates should have and may be assessed on the following:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (initiative, professionalism, positive attitude, problem solving, conflict resolution)
• Exceptional client-service skills
• Ability to work independently

• Ability to exercise sound judgment in order to refuse service to intoxicated and/or underage customers
• Ability to read and interpret government legislation

Additional Information

Conditions of employment: Must obtain government notary within 6 months of hire

Job Requirements: This position requires the ability to consistently work Tuesday-Saturday on a scheduled rotational basis year-round. Able to lift up to 40 pounds.
