Vancouver - Box Bus Courier Driver Job at Rubicon HR Canada
Box Bus has immediate openings for full-time, permanent independent contractor drivers.
This position requires an independent contractor with their own mini-van, car or SUV
Deliveries are within the Richmond, Delta, Surrey, Burnaby, Tri-cities, Vancouver and North & West Vancouver but in one zone each day, not all over the place. 11 am start time, 6-8 hour days. Shifts are available every day of the week. Part-time and Full-time where you customize which days are available.
- The commission is 70%. A typical route for cars and small SUVs is 50-65 stops ~$210-$270/day.
- Vans and SUVs with more room can do 75-80 stops ~$325-$350/day.
- Works out to ~$30-35/hour, more for top performers.
- Essential worker position, so you'll have work even if another lockdown occurs.
Requirements:
- Safety Vest (Class 2), and Hard-toes Shoes/boots. (100% Mandatory at Warehouse, not on road)
- Must provide a vehicle for the work. Minivan, Car or SUV.
- Winter / All-Weather Tires (Not All-Season)
- Can safely get in and out of your van multiple times a day.
- Have a smartphone with a data plan.
- Have a valid BC Class 5 (standard license for cars) driver's license (No N)
- Able to pass a criminal background check.
- Excellent English communication skills.
Preferred:
- 1+ year of courier experience in the GVA.
- Customer service background.
- A can-do attitude.
- Time management skills.
